What do you know about chess?

It is fairly simple to find out whether you are competent at playing chess. If your ChessFriends.com rank exceeds that of a Bishop, hardly anybody will call you an inept player.

But what is the state of your chess knowledge? Are you able to answer any question or would it be difficult to list at least two world champions?

      It arapeps that a number of counties and leagues are discussing the introduction of local rules which would prohibit non-members from taking part in organised chess. Some like Cleveland introduced such rules years ago. As someone who has denied that the ECF’s intention in introducing a membership scheme was to cut down the amount of chess being played, do you or the ECF board regard moves to ban people from playing chess as a desirable development?
