Win the Opportunity to Play Against Kasparov

Dear users, we are pleased that by every day and every game played, you help us improve ChessFriends.com. Thus, we have decided to offer one of you an opportunity to meet and play over the board against world’s most famous chess icon – Garry Kasparov.

Anybody who wishes to play a game against this living legend should have a look at our tournaments section and register for the Play Against Kasparov. The registration is free, you can apply anytime at http://www.chessfriends.com/. Tournament is held on 11th October at 19:00 CET.

The tournament, as well as the simul itself, is intended for recreational chess players, so there is one condition: The player’s FIDE rating should not exceed 2100 points or player should not have any official FIDE rating at all. The winner of the tornament is obliged to prove his rating is lower than 2100. If he fails to do so, the next player acquires the prize.

The simul taks place in Crowne Plaza hotel in Bratislava, on 14th October at 18:00 CET.

If you would like to play against legendary grandmaster, but are not confident enough to win the tournament, you don’t have to give up. Kasparov plays twenty games against twenty players in total and so there still are some tickets available.

Players’ fee for the famed chess player is 1000€ per game. Grandmaster’s earnings will be donated to charity. Interested players, who do not have FIDE rating or their FIDE rating is lower than 2250, can contact us at [email protected] or +421 918 526 329.

We are thrilled by the upcoming chess feast and happy to share the excitement with you, our users.

how do you expect us to “prove” we don’t have a fide rating? i can see how i could prove that i have such and such rating if i do have one. but if i don’t have a rating, how do i “prove” it?

The simul with Kasparov is real. Winner as person has to come to hotel and play. He has an ID card, so it is just matter of seconds, to prove his identity. The 2100 max rating is set up by Kasparov himself. We can’t change it. The prove of identity will be done by scan or copy if ID card + phone number.

Yeah hahhaa! The food is not-so-good, it’s like yung binayaran naten ay yung ambiance. Though, napakasarap talaga nung pandesal nila na tig-6 pesos. Sayang, after a month tsaka ko lang natikman, sana napatikim ko rin sa inyo hehe. Balik tayo!! I miss you na!!

Thanks for the recommendation.By the way, just checked out 64squar.es: 64squar.es down for maintenence. Apologies. Check back soon. Dude, you’ve made them upgrade their servers!
